In the summer of 2013, I had the honor to work as an undergraduate technical intern at Pixar Animation Studio specifically focusing on lighting. At Pixar, I learned the film-making process and experienced the unique production environment to see how every single pixel is devoted to storytelling.
In the winter of 2013, I was fortunate to be selected to work with Microsoft Game Studios in Seattle. I contributed as a concept development artist to continue a SCAD collaborative project that is currently in a development stage with SOHO branch of Microsoft Studios. I was able to experience the concept development stage with professionals in the industry including the executive producer Curtis Neal and creative director Matthew White.
Consecutively, in January 2014, I had the privilege of getting an offer of the lighting internship from Laika studio. Even though I could not take the lighting internship due to personal circumstances, I am very humbled that my reel was considered for such a prestigious studio.
I am confident that I will be a valuable asset with my understanding of lighting in aesthetics and storytelling, and my receptive and open mindset rooted from multiple teamwork experiences.
